Room was small (most hotel in this area have small rooms), not enough storage space (we had to leave most of our clothing in the suitcases). Despite having a wide choice the breakfast had limited items that we actually liked.Next time we would not come to Sultanahmet again as all restaurants and shops in this area are massively overpriced.

Well situated in central old city.

The location is very central close to the best touristic attractions. Breakfast was very abundant with local food: lost of cooked vegetables, cheese and homemade flans and cakes. I and my wife liked it a lot. The younger kids no so much, the would have liked a more standard (and boring in my opinion) breakfast as you find in most hotel around the world. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Internet was ok.

Maybe they could had yogurt to the breakfast and few more option for picky people as some of my kids even if I thinks that when traveling one should try and eat something different from what eaten at home. Internet connection could be improved, but it was more than sufficient.

Room is very small..completely different than in the photo displayed in booking.com. Breakfast is same menu every day and no fruits available, no complementary water available in the room.

We had a great time at Artefes. The hotel is 5min from the Sultanahmet square, perfect location. Staff were also very nice and friendly. And cherry on the cake, the hotel stored our luggage for free for 5 days! 100% would recommend!!

The staff were incredibly kind and demonstrated excellent respect and hospitality throughout my visit. The cleanliness of the hotel was commendable, and the housekeeping team did a remarkable job, making my stay comfortable and pleasant. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast as well—it was delicious!I am looking forward to my next trip and would love to stay at your hotel again. The location was perfect for reaching all the historical places in the area, which made my trip even more enjoyable.

A cozy room, a comfortable bed, the possibility to order a room with two beds. Pleasant breakfast room with sea view. The breakfast is good, with a choice. There is a beautiful promenade nearby, where there is a social cafe overlooking the sea.

It would be nice to have a kettle and a couple of cups in the room.

I only liked the location, if I can put it that way. However, in that area, specifically the old town, there are many similar places.

Although we had booked accommodation for four nights, we were absolutely forced to leave the location after the first night—and for many reasons. The only reason we even stayed one night was because we landed very late at night!First of all, we were greeted in the room by an absolutely unbearable smell. We opened the window, only to realize that it could only be closed with a key and not sealed properly, as the window frames were wooden and very old. All the furniture was very old, almost unusable, the bathroom was not cleaned properly—and neither was the room. We actually gave up on taking a shower when we arrived!The next day, we booked another accommodation and requested a refund for the remaining three nights. This was refused, on the grounds that we had to speak with booking.com. After returning to our home country, we contacted booking.com, and although they were very kind, they told us the decision depended on the property. Eventually, we received the answer: the property refused to issue a refund.We were given a compensation of 45 euros from booking.com, instead of the 240 euros we should have received. In conclusion, I strongly recommend avoiding this location!

Great location in a quiet street and near old city. Staff was so nice and friendly. Rooms was clean. Nice view from the windows in the dining area. Breakfast was good but sometimes too cold.

There is no teapot in the room and we told that we can use dining room for that. We did it the first evening. Next evening there was no tea. Next evening no hot water. Next evening there was even no water.

Location, kindness of the staff. Room service is ok.

Breakfast is poor (less than basic). Some rooms are renovated but not all. There was not enough hangers for clothes in the closet. In the toilet there was no hangers att all. There was no electric cattle for tea nor the glasses. Poor insulation of doors towards the corridor,. During our stay there was a group of very loud Italian tourists so we couldn't sleep untill very late hours. It repeated every night and was very exhausting, specially for children.

I have stayed here several times because it has everything I need—-excellent facilities, great location, and a staff, especially Mr Salman, that actually anticipates your needs. There are many hotels with good facilities; it is the staff that makes a place stay out from the rest. Artefes has the special component.

I am extremely disappointed and concerned because Booking.com states that this is a 4 star hotel, but it is a poor 3 star hotel with a poor breakfast and old room furnishings and walls without sound protection (everything could be heard, whether from inside the hotel or from the street outside). In addition, there is construction/renovation going on next to the hotel, which starts early in the morning and lasts until late at night. Never again!- near Istanbul Centre, 450m to Hagia Sofia

- cold throughout the hotel, in the room as well- noisy aircondition, woke me up at night- parties of youngs at night- no soundproof walls- breakfast mostly Turkish, not continental (see jpg)- old hotel- not 4* but 3* hotel- dried cakes, dried bread (see jpg)- one guest even took the dried bread and threw it to the seagulls so that they could replenish the fresh bread- in the morning in the buffet no one eats local unidentifiable salads (see jpg)- juice at breakfast is not juice, but sweet colored water- trash cans in the room are a little bigger than a water glass- you can hear the noise from the street in the room as if you were outside- the shower is so small that you can't take a normal shower in it- you have to wait 5 minutes for hot water- there were 3 small bottles of mineral water in the (dirty) minibar, nothing more- the wardrobe in the room is probably older than the (old) hotel itself, taped together with insulating tape! - the room is quite spacious, but you have nowhere to put your personal belongings, not even in the bathroom (see jpg)
